Wow. I just found out that being faithful means being true to your word and loyal. It also means sticking to your promises and being observant of your duties. God truly is wonderful—I mean, faithful. He observes His duties. He keeps His promises. He’s always there.
But then I asked myself: How can I, a human, be faithful to God?
How do I get God to trust me?
How do I become faithful?
Maybe I can start by keeping the promises I make to Him. I can honor my tithes, pledges, and vows. But faithfulness isn’t just about money. It’s about being trustworthy and dependable.
Wait—God can depend on us? Yes, He can. He depends on us to carry out tasks concerning others.
Remember the story of Ananias and Sapphira? That was a story of unfaithfulness. God blessed them financially and trusted them to give to the church. But they weren’t faithful. They lied—and they withheld what they had promised.
We are just stewards of God’s blessings, not owners. And God expects us to be a blessing—financially, emotionally, spiritually—to His house.
But again, it’s not just money.
God has entrusted each of us with gifts, talents, and life. And He trusts us to use them to bear fruit and bless others. Think about the story of the talents—the Master trusted each servant with what he could handle.
He believed in them.
So today I’m asking:
Am I faithful?
Can God depend on me?
Can He trust me with something valuable?
Lord, You can depend on me. I am Yours. I belong to You. I am the one faithful in the Lord that Paul spoke about. Make me faithful, Jesus. Make me dependable. Help me understand the weight of the task on my life. You said I shall be a blessing to others— So make me faithful, that I never disappoint You All the days of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Simple question of truth to consider—amen!
A question many of us as Christians rarely ask ourselves—and yet a prayer we should always be praying..
Can God use us? Can He trust us? Can He depend on us?
We often get so caught up in our own thoughts and desires that we forget our Maker and His purpose for us.
Thank you, @Pen of God. Such a simple piece, yet so beautifully written and deeply stirring.
